Holly River State Park is an intermediate mix of singletrack and fireroad riding. The first few miles of the trail is all climbing, so come prepared to burn some calories right off the bat. Once you make it up to the Potato Knob trail the trail gets a bit more technical and divides into color coded routes. There are many options to explore, for the most part there is nothing overly technical but the ride is a bit strenuous which is why it is not rated for beginners; but novice riders willing to push themselves and hop off their bike from time to time should still be able to have some fun.
