Well for a serious review, these trails are excellent. I've been riding the Daniels Road trails (locally know as the Stables)as far as I know,since they have were built in the late 80's. Yes, since SMBA has taken over some (not many) of the old school technical sections have been dumbed down a little, but this is more for trail erosion issues than making the trails easier. Yes sometimes it's frustrating, but that's life. As for being charged, SMBA charges a $30 fee for a years worth of riding. This is because the land owners, Finch pruyn were going to shut the trails down and start prosecuting riders. SMBA stepped in and convinced Finch pruyn to keep them open. The fee is to cover insurance costs, not a bad deal to keep a beloved riding spot open. And after recent logging SMBA and it's members did a great job cleaning up and getting the trails back up and running. And if you don't have a membership ride anyway no one ever confronts other riders, and if you like the trails and want to support SMBA feel free.
