The Mueller Park Trail is a great intermediate singletrack ride, the only factor to keep in mind that this trail is HEAVILY used by hikers which makes it difficult to maintain a good speed on both the climbs and descents. On weekends you may as well forget about riding here unless you are prepared to do an early Sunday morning or night ride or willing to deal with the crowds. During the week the trail is not too busy so if you can sneak out for a quick lunchtime or after work ride the trails should be pretty clear of foot traffic.
The ride has a fair amount of climbing, which is rewarded with an awesome descent (again remember the crowds so maintain control).
Beginners who are physically fit and ready to start pushing themselves should be able to ride the majority of this trail without too many dismount and hike-a-bikes.
