Unfortunately these trails are now closed, Lance has sold off the property. Maybe someday the new owner will re-open the trails.
The Juan Pelota trail is Lance Armstrong’s private reserve; the trails are located on his ranch and only open for public events or by invite for a lucky few. The trails are home to the Mellow Johnny’s Classic and have been well publicized of late. The trails themselves are a mix of dirt singletrack, some nice variation of drops and step-ups, rock gardens, some technical switchbacks, a couple creek crossings, as well as a tabletop kicker, and a limestone path. Those familiar with the Reimers Ranch trails will feel right at home on the Juan Pelota trail, the terrain is very similar, but the flow of the Juan Pelota trails is a bit better and offers a lot more shade. When open, there is ample parking, but due to the popularity of the host, you should strongly consider car-pooling.

The Juan Pelota trails are actually Lance Armstrong's private trails at his ranch near Dripping Strings Texas. The trails are only open for special events, but well worth checking out when they are open. In late 2009 the first public race was held, in early 2010 another race is already scheduled as well as some pre-ride days.
