Description for Dana Peak Park
Dana Peak is a great ride along the shoreline of Stillhouse Hollow Lake. The trail is mostly singletrack with a little bit of fireroads, it will appeal to riders of all experience levels and has a great mix of terrain that will keep you challenged along the way. There is a fair amount of climbing, which means there are also some fun descents, overall the trail has a great flow.
Overall the trails are not too technical, but most riders will be challanged by the climbing and enjoy the fast flowy singletrack. It is definitely a great place to bring beginners who are ready to start pushing themselves to improve their skills.
The area is beautiful, since part of the ride is along the water you get great views for most of the ride of the lake and the surrounding hills.

I love these trails. There are a lot of trail combo options making it fun for hours. There are very few trails that are super technical, but most have a few tricky spots. Drawback is lack of trail signs making it difficult to find the good spots, and the only map I've ever found online is fairly out dated. Park just before state park entrance under the trees to get started. Have fun!

When I first rode out at Dana peak, I thought, "this is it?" but after riding there for a few months now, I realize there is a wide range of options to choose from. You can easily string together a 12-20 mile ride some crossovers and double backs due to the trail that goes along the lake toward the dam. The trails range from many beginner trails, a few moderate trails and a few steep, loose and technical sections as well. If the trails were better marked and a little bit of trail work was to be done, this place would be even a better place to ride! There is usually not a lot of other people on the trails which is nice, and there is no fee if you park before you arrive at the pay station. Get out there and have fun! Use the app strava to record your route, and times! Ride On!
