Description for Franklin State Forest
The Forest is on the Cumberland Plateau and located in south-central Tennessee, in Marion and Franklin Counties. The majority of singletrack is on the east side of Hwy 156 follows close to the brow. The trail has a rock garden or two and flows over rolling hills, without any major climbs. In addition to the 24 miles of singletrack there are about 15 miles of forest service roads which can be ridden. Horses are allowed on all trails in Franklin State Forest. If you see a horse on the trail, please stop your bike and allow them to pass.
