The Big River Trail is a mix of singletrack and fireroad riding. The start of the trail is mild and great for beginners, but once you get back into the system (around the 10 mile mark), it starts to get a lot more rugged and challenging. There are some fairly big drops and step ups, roots, rocks, loose dirt, and even creek crossings. Avoid the ride if there has been any heavy rains, the river tends to come up onto the trail making it a muddy mess and takes a while to dry out.
