Description for Judge Morris Estate
The Middle Run area (which includes or connects to the Judge Morris and White Clay Creek trails) is some of the best mountain biking in the area. It is miles and miles of smooth fast singletrack, with few big hills but lots of small ones, so you're constantly going fast. The terrain is interesting and varied, with forests, meadows, creeks & bridges, pine forests. It's not very technical, so if you like to ride on lots of rocks, roots, and other stuff that generally gets in your way, then this probably isn't the place for you. On the other hand, it does have an awesome Skills Trail with log rides, teeter-totters, wooden plank bridges, etc, but this is a relatively small part of the area. My one complaint would be that some of the trails can get a little overgrown in the spring/summer, but that's to be expected with singletrack.

The Middle Run area (which includes or connects to the Judge Morris and White Clay Creek trails) is easily the best mountain-biking I've ever done. It's miles and miles of smooth fast singletrack, with few big hills but lots of small ones, so you're constantly going fast. The terrain is interesting and varied, with forests, meadows, creeks & bridges, pine forests... It's not very technical, so if you like to ride on lots of rocks, roots, and other stuff that generally gets in your way, then this probably isn't the place for you. On the other hand, it does have an awesome Skills Trail with log rides, teeter-totters, wooden plank bridges, etc -- but this is a relatively small part of the area. My one complaint would be that some of the trails can get a little overgrown in the spring/summer, but that's to be expected with singletrack. I'm always worried that the stuff I'm brushing against is poison as I ride through this overgrowth, but I've always ended up poison-free.
