Description for Stoney Creek
Stoney Creek is one of those trails that have wildly different difficulty ratings from nearly every other person. The "advanced" riding is pretty much on par with intermediate riding on other trails. While it is true that if you do not ride much or have only ridden this trail, some of the stuff may seem hard, but that does not mean the trail is out of reach, in fact intermediate riders will likely be able to do nearly everything without even thinking of a dismount.
The riding is flowy and fun, very much an XC style trail. The Pines section is fairly flat and short but has some fun log piles and rock gardens, The Snakes and Roller Coaster section provides some elevation change (fun ups and downs) with some switchbacks as well as some log piles and rolling terrain. The doubletrack is really just used as a mechanism to interconnect the between trails.
