Road this today and was not too impressed. First of all it looks barely ridden and second part it is flooded and impassible on two of the major trails that go around the reservoir. However it does have some potential and when you first enter the trail (from Green Street Entrance) there is some okay trails on your left that head down towards the water. Coming back from the reservoir there are some uphill climbs that are not too technical, but still a decent workout. I might head back later in the summer to see if the flooded parts dry up as I want to see what's on the other side of the reservoir.
After doing lots of exploring I found a lot of old dirt bike trails and single track. The trails are accessible up the street from the Gardner Golf course (yellow gate) Follow the rail trail and look on the left for various trails that circle the reservoir. Follow some of the old fire roads and you will find some new single track, but they are hard to spot, but worth riding.
If you follow the fire roads you can find nice single track trails. Follow the rail trail and take a left 1/4 (or less) follow the fire road about a mile until you come to a covered bridge. On the other side of the brook you can find a trail entrance on both sides of the road. be prepared for some good technical single track with a lot of ups and downs.
