Schaeffer has a nice set of loops with good variety of ups and downs as well as open terrain, woods, and stream crossings. The location is near the Soccerplex in Germantown, and has a good parking facility at the intersection of the two main loops. There are many ways to ride Schaeffer loops, depending on how much you want to ride, and there are some good log rides and other features for those who want to ride on or over obstacles.
Another good thing about Schaeffer is that you can park there and ride the out and back trail to Black Hill Regional Park, which has some good trail, some gravel road, some paved road, and eventually takes you around to the visitor center.
Good place to ride, so good that some of the trails are showing the effects of heavy use and getting pretty rooted out.
