Description for Black Hill Regional Park
Black Hill Regional Park is mostly geared towards beginners. The riding is mixed of paved surface and easy hard packed singletrack surfaces. The area is very scenic which makes it a great place for more experienced riders to bring beginners and family members to introduce them to the world of mountain biking. The singletrack is ideal for the beginner that is willing to start pushing themselves, there are some nice rocks, roots, creek crossings and even some tough little climbs and descents.

Good place to start mountain biking
The are a few parts to the Black Hill area, one that is near the visitor center, some trails that connect that section to the boat ramp, and the trail that goes from the boat ramp further around the lake to the connector trail that goes to Schaeffer Farm mtb trails.
The section near the visitor center starts off the paved trails at the exercise/par course and is pretty easy with a few hills. There are about three trails that get you from the spot where the trail crosses the park entry road to the boat launch, and these are scenic with some stream crossings and hills. The last section on the side of the lake across from the visitor center is fast and flowie, and is part of the system connecting the various mtb trails in the area.
Nice park facilities, ideal place to learn.
