Description for Catoctin Mountain Park
The Catoctin Mountain trail has is an advanced mix of singletrack and fireroad riding. The terrain is rough with drops, rocks, creek crossings, steep ups and downs and even some jumps. The ride is scenic and not overly well traveled, which means that it is unlikely you will even see other people on the trail. Intermediate riders willing to push themselves will be able to ride a good portion of the trail but may have to dismount several times, beginners should not attempt this ride.

Unless you have an invitation from the current president of the united states, I suggest finding somewhere else to ride. The directions take you to the exit of Camp David. There are sniper towers, electric barbed wire fences and armed guards. Some of the toughest mountain biking obstacles I have ever encountered! And I thought Gambrill was tough.....hehe
