Description for Lake Bistineau State Park
Located in Bistineau State Park. There are facilities, camping, cabins, swimming area, etc. A very nice park for a campout, picnic or family outing. The trail is about 10.2 miles of mostly singletrack. It is basically flat, with numerous twists and turns to challenge your bike handling skills. The trail cross or comes near the park roads several times, so it is beginner/kid friendly if you need to stop before completing the entire trail.
Directions:
From South Bossier -the Jimmy Davis Bridge, take Highway 71 South to Taylortown, then turn left at the sign for Bistineau State Park. Follow the brown signs the rest of the way.

From I-20, go East to the Haughton/Fillmore Exit. When you exit off I-20 take a right and go about 150 yards to Hwy 3226 and take this highway to the intersection of Hwy 164. Take a right on Hwy 164 and go to Doyline. At Doyline take a right onto Hwy 163 and go approximately 6.8 miles to the second entrance to Lake Bistineau State Park. Stop at the Ranger Station for a map and to pay fees. Fees are $2.00/visit.
