Description for St Tammany Trace
The St. Tammany Trace is a paved decommissioned railway it runs 40+ miles between Covington and Slidell with multiple trailheads for parking and various starting/stopping points along the way. There are several places to stop and eat along the way from Abita Springs Brew Pub to various cafe's in Mandeville just a short pedal stroke down an intersecting road in Mandeville. The ride is flat and smooth, the only drawback is the many intersections that require stopping for cross traffic.
