Description for Capital View
There are not a ton of choices in Frankfort for good riding, thankfully we have the trails at Capital View Park. The trails have good signage and are well maintained. There are several routes, some are easier then others, beginners should stick to the ride along the Kentucky River, they are the easier ones. More experienced riders can enjoy the rest of the trail which ups the technical level with some tricky rock sections, tons of roots, some climbing and a fast downhill.
Once you go with someone that rides here a lot you will realize that there are some better offshoot trails that are not well marked but are super fun.

Capital View Park has a great view of the Capital of Kentucky. Nice fast track for us all. There is a section called the silo's, there are some very nice climbs in this section. If you really want to challenge your climbing skills, try Mt. Vernon. This part doesn't get rode very much, and I know why!
