This great trail had steadily been improved over the last 10 years, thanks largely to the hard work of the Comlara Off-Road Biking Association (CORBA). The trail is located on the west side of the lake and accessed from Co Highway 8 (at trails #3 and #4) or N 1200 E (east end of trail #7). Total length of the trail is about 12 miles if you ride trails #1-7 and include the downhill, which is just over Co Highway 8 west of the spillway. The trail is non-directional and shared use with hikers. Singletrack here is fast, technical in a number of places, hosts a few ravines with short climbs, and a number of log piles and obstacles. Comlara hosts the annual Mud, Sweat, and Gears XC race every year, typically the second week of September. If you're ever in Bloomington-Normal you've got to stop by!
