Description for Big Hole Crest
Big Hole Crest was an illegal trail quite a while, thankfully it is perfectly legal to ride it now. The trail can be done a couple of different ways, starting at the S. Fork of Horseshoe Canyon, and ending with the Corral Creek and the Spooky trail is a good option because it makes it a bit easier to climb at the beginning and has a great singletrack finish.
Overall this is a great ride if you're into long, hard adventure rides. You will push your bike at times, and you may even walk in a couple places. But overall there's a ton of great singletrack and amazing views of the Tetons and Big Holes. Expect a fair amount of climbing which of course is rewarded with some pretty great descents, but is not over the top in terms technical riding. There are places on the trail that are in need of some serious maintenance, but overall it is very rideable.

I added an alternate route, starting at the S. Fork of Horseshoe Canyon, and ending with the Corral Creek and the Spooky trail. This variation adds an easier climb at the beginning and a great singletrack finish.
