Description for Rope Mill
The Rope Mill trails are multi use and shared with motorized traffic (ATVs and motorcycles). The trails are mostly fireroads and doubletrack, although there is a little bit of singletrack. Because of the ATV traffic the trail tends to get torn up and holds water for quite a while after rains, keep that in mind before making the trip. The trails themselves have some pretty cool features which include downhill, creek crossings, some strenuous climbing, as well as rocks, ruts, and roots.

2/2011: The trail is now a series of great loops totaling 6mi. It is a bench cut trail with some hand dug portions through the trees. It has some decent climbs with switchbacks and some flowy downhills. It is perfect for my rigid ss 29er. Also fun at night!

Great trails. I work for the Woodstock fire department and we ride these trails regularly as part of the bike team training. These trails are also not open to atv's only bikers and pedestrians. Outspokin bikes is nearby downtown and lots of food as well. Check them out
