Description for Blankets Creek
Blankets Creek is a great trail system, three trails that make up this network. Mosquito Flats (Easy, Beginner), Dwelling Loop (More Difficult, Intermediate to Advanced) and the South Loop (Advanced), Van Michael Trail (Advanced). Most of the trails are directional trails, with the direction of travel changing depending on the day of the week. Please refer to trailhead kiosk for this information. In addition to the trails this area has a skills section, with rock gardens, balance beams and teeter-tooters. To help preserve the trails the gate will usually be closed prohibiting access to the trials following heavy rains.
The new additions include one intermediate loop - the dwelling also 4 miles and 1 beginner trail - mosquito flats and bite trails about 1.3 miles. This has something for everyone. The south loop is technical with some rocky sections. The Van Michael is very smooth and fast with some good climbs. The dwelling has a little of both - smooth, fast, rocky. Mosquito flats is good for the kids, no rocks or roots and as flat as can be. Mosquito bite has some beginner climbs, descents, roots and rocks. Great warm up to the dwelling trail.

This system has everything! Fast intermediate trail (Dwelling loop). Smooth advanced trail (Van Michael). Technical advanced trail (South loop). And a easy beginner loop to connect them all. Also has a 1/4 mi downhill jump run. This trail is well maintained by Sorba Woodstock. Has lots of parking. Well worth checking out!
