Description for Thomson Trail
One of Macon's oldest trails, the L. H. Thomson trail is located just west of the Wilson airport. The course is behind the L. H.Thomson Company's factory at 7800 NE Industrial Boulevard. The Thomson company makes bicycle seat posts and handlebar stems. The trail is about 5 kilometers of technical single-track. Very little of this trail is level. Obstacles include log jumps, switchbacks, and steep drops. Some erosion has left exposed roots that will challenge your bike handling skills. The landowners would like you to sign a waiver before you hit the trail. This document helps ensure the trail stays open for future riders. Just go inside and ask about the bike trail. Park on the right side of the building and begin your ride at the gap in the fence.

Tight technical and enough roots to make you buy padded shorts. It's a blast to ride, and will test your skills. A great secondary trail.
