Description for Georgia Childrens Home
These trails are enjoyable, if you are in the area it is worth stopping and riding during your travels. This is a group of mostly intermediate trails that are in a beautiful setting in Georgia. This trail is located within the city limits of Macon on Mumford Road. The trail is the site of the annual Macon Madness GAP race. The site offers both technical singletrack in a hardwood forest and fast open doubletrack through planted pines.
Unfortunately the GICH trail was logged a couple years ago. The 7.3 mile trail is still there and still easy, fast, & fun but it looks drastically different. The lack of a canopy has allowed the underbrush to grow quickly and encroach on the trail. OMBA has been working to keep it clear.
