Description for Iron Hill Trail
This trail is composed of mostly old fire roads and doubletrack. Mountain bikes are prohibited on all other trails. There are nice views of lake. Numerous old open pit iron ore mines resulting in the name "iron hills"... The trail roughly follows shore line of Lake Allatoona. Many side trails do invite exploration. Thick base of crushed stone on double track and some dirt singletrack side routes that need exploring. There is a daily use fee.

Kindof boring. Nice view of the lake, plenty of picnic tables. Wide doubletrack, gravel surface. There is one "jump" to pop up and over about halfway through. A good ride for families with small children. Lots of obsticals to avoid, such as families with small children, people walking dogs (not everybody was obeying the leash law), and dog poo (nod everybody was obeying that rule either, and I unfortunatly rolled the back tire straight through a big one...). Not a place for me, but I'm sure somebody might like it.
