Description for Big Creek Park
"Big Creek has separate bike & walking trails. The bike trails are app 4.5 miles with beginner, intermediate, and advanced loops, which include many rock gardens, numerous log crossings, a teeter totter, an intermediate skinny, and an advanced log ride. Big Creek also has an advance area for freeride which has many features for the advance riders. Direction of travel changes daily. Bikes are prohibited on the hiking trail.
This trail has 1 mile of beginner trail, 2.5 intermediate, 3 miles of advanced, and expert downhill and slalom courses. There is also a paved course for recreational riders. Complete with beginner, intermediate and expert trails. The only drawback is that each trail is no more than a mile or 2 long. But there is enough to keep you busy for a few hours. The beginner is relatively smooth with some good climbs. The intermediate pretty rocky. Overall, a pretty good ride and worth the trip!

2/2011: This trail has it all! Xc, Downhill, dirt jumps, pump tracks, freeride, slalom, and even a paved greenway path. The xc course can be done by linking all the (well-marked) loops together for around 6-7 miles of singletrack. In the back you'll find the freeride area. The center is the slalom run with jumps and berms. The DH lines weave all over. The dirt jumps are at the top of the hill and they've just added tabletopped jumps for beginners. They hold jump sessions there every weekend with good weather. There are 2 or 3 pumptracks now for different tastes. Oh! I almost forgot about the Scorcher! It's a short (<mile) nearly dizzying climb that people time trial up.
The local SORBA chapter called RAMBO holds a race called the 4way (sometimes 3way) each year and riders can compete in all categories. Check it out!
