Description for Turkey Creek
The Turkey Creek trails continue to improve and even have markers to help route you along the trail now. The trail is a mix of double and singletrack. The main trail (Red trail) loops around a number of shorter trails that you can enter and return back to the main trail as it intersects along the ride. The ride is not overly technical but there are lots of roots, some creek crossings, and sand traps.

These trails are alot of fun. My wife and I are new to the sport and we braved this after about a week of solid riding. Needless to say we will be frequenting these trails. The trails are fairly narrow, and one must keep eyes ahead because of tree roots, logs, and low hanging brush. There are a few areas where there are sand traps, but nothing too harsh. I do suggest wearing a helmet and gloves because of the many sharp turns and unexpected roots and little drop offs. Bugspray is definitely a strong suggestion, and plenty of water. When the trails open up(few and far between) the scenery is beautiful! No traffic at all during the weekday, and most of the trails have shade because of the narrowness of the trails. Lots of fun, even for beginners!
