Description for South Shore
The South Shore Trail has recently undergone some unfortunate changes, the back section has been removed as part of the I-95 expansion project. However there is still enough good riding to justify a trip out here, many of the freeride obstacles still remain and the riding is a blast. This is definitely not a place for beginners, strong intermediate and advanced riders will enjoy the jumps, drops, technical turns, and the manmade stuff, beginners would likely be in over their head.
There are some fun freeride jumps and a 1.5 mile loop that includes some technical ridge lines. A group meets Thursdays at 5:00 for a group ride & trail work day in St. Josephs church on Babcock, just south of Port Malabar.
Directions:
1. Park at St. Josephs church (Babcock St. NE Palm Bay, Fl), ride south along Babcock over the Melbourne Tillman canal bridge, head toward the grassy field (west) about 50 yards up on the right is a small opening taking you toward the waters edge, thus explains the name South Shore trail.
2. Park at Fred Lee Park (895 Emerson Drive NE Palm Bay, Fl) head south on Emerson Drive over the Tillman canal, head east through the grassy field about 400 yards, at the end of the field on the left is a small opening taking you toward the waters edge.

Great trail when it's not being destroyed by local construction. Only about 1.5 miles of trail right now but some great jumps and steep stuff to play with.
