Description for Snow Hill Econ State Forest
The Snow Hill Econ State Forest Trail offer some of the best cross country riding in Florida. The terrain is fast flowy hard pack with a nice turns and twists. While the trail is not a known for its challenges or technical obstacles. The trail is meticulously maintained but are not well marked so it is best to go with someone that knows the trail to have them show you around.

Not bad trails. A little confusing trail system, not marked very well. Great ride but watch for riders coming around the corner no directional trails.

I am relatively new to mountain biking but have enjoyed traveling to a few trails in central Florida including Santos and Alafia which are both IMBA Epic trails. If you are located near Orlando the Little Big Econ State Forest can provide a lot of fun challenging trails most oƒ which could be considered easy or intermediate. All together there are close to 17 miles of trail hidden throughout the park that I have found, unfortunately the trails are not well marked but they are very well maintained. If you know your way around you can avoid the sandier runs but there are really only a few places with deep sand long enough to pose a serious challenge.
The wildlife and scenery needs to also be mentioned. The main trail follows a winding river that is very nice to bike along. So far I have come across some large alligators, a couple deer, a large wild boar, and lots of armadillo, turtles, and other critters.
Today I biked the trail after a few days of heavy rain and it was a whole different animal. The river was a good 8 feet higher. There was a 6-8 foot gator on a part of sandy grass path and there were sections of trail flooded to almost knee level, one of which had a small 3 foot gator right next to it which took off. A very cool experience and certainly got the heart racing.
