Description for Markham Park
Trails are in excellent shape and are signed everywhere. Elevation is highest at 50 feet with many ridge trails as well as a skills area. A free liability waiver access pass is available at the park management office. This is the most popular park in South Florida. It is a great park with something to ride for everyone. An old quarry makes for big drops and descent climbs even in flat South Florida.

Great technicals, nice rock gardens. Good variation in height for south Florida, and quality upkeep often.

Markham park mtn bike trails is a small piece of mountain bike heaven tucked up against the Florida Everglades. The trails will test your technical mountain biking skills at every level. There are trails for every rider ability however beware of the advanced athletic ability required to ride this park. The trails require an access pass available at no cost at the park office. The trails are well signed and maintained by a dedicated group of volunteer trail builders. IMBA mtn bike patrol are often on hand to assits riders. If you are in S. Florida don't miss this park.

The best trail in South Florida. Plenty of technical climbs and descents, bridges, obstacles, switchbacks...you get the idea. There's a small terrain park for those who want to grab some air also. The maintenance of the trails is what keeps you coming back because they switch up the trails all the time. There's also great signage and bypasses for beginner/intermediate riders. Gets a little crowded out there on weekends and weekday evenings after work hours.

I love to ride Markham’s MTB trails. There is a wide variety of terrains too choose from however they all seem to be either very easy or intermediate and above. This park does not have a large number of trails suitable for young kids or beginners. The trails are well maintained and are marked really well. There is a bike wash and lots of parking.

There are some new trails and since my last review the park now charges a small user fee to ride the trails. An access pass is available at the park office. Check the MARKHAM park Facebook pages for day to day conditions. Wheretocrank.com is a good resource for local trail conditions.
