Pine Log State Forest offers many recreational opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast, including camping, wildlife viewing, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, fishing and hunting. The Crooked Creek trail is dedicated to bikers so thankfully horses are not allowed on it, the trail is marked with red or blue blazes and arrows. Specific trail rules are posted on the informational kiosk at the trailhead.
The trails are a great for intermediate riders, beginners will be able to tackle most of what the trail has to offer but may have to dismount a few times along the way. Overall the ride is not very technical, it is fast and smooth. This is not really a destination trail meaning that it does not offer enough thrills to justify a long drive to get here, but if you are in the area it is worth checking out.
