Description for Mt Falcon
The climb up Mt Falcon is a test of your lungs and legs, you climb, climb and climb some more, just when you think you are done, you realize that you still have a ways to go. But honestly it is only a few miles and it goes by quickly. It does get steeper towards the end but the entire trail is smooth on the climb which makes it a bit easier. This is definitely a great place to train, a ride here a few times a week will turn you into an animal. There is not much in terms of shade, so on hot days go early and bring water.
Once you get your lungs back into your chest, drink some water and ride back down the way you came up, it will go quickly and you will swear the trip up was many more miles, but the down is fun, be on the lookout for hikers as you are ripping down the mountain.

I rode it last season and it was a good work out with a ton of scenic views. There are a few point along the ride you might need to carry your bike up some stairs. But as much of a bitch it is to climb the downhill ride is amazing. You might see a few downhillers walking there bike up. At the top of the climb a hundred year old remains of a mansion. Enjoy the ride.
