Horsethief is a fun loop to in conjunction with Mary's, it can be ridden by beginners but you may have to hope off the bike a few times, the trail is fun for all riders. The trail starts at the cattle gate a couple of miles into Mary's, just after as turn from the amazing views of the Colorado river.  Go through the bright yellow cattle gate that leads to a gnarly downhill (I have seen many attempt to ride it but have not seen anyone clean it), at the bottom of the hill is Horsethief Bench, I always recommend that people combine Mary's and Horsethief, together they make a fun couple hours. Those that continue on Mary's will continue to enjoy a more leisurely ride with some of the best views in the area.
