Description for Flight of Icarus
We have removed Flight of Icarus several times because of the quasi legal aspects of weather or not the trail is legal to ride. Since you keep adding it back we have decided that the trail will remain. Ride at your own risk especially during hunting season (actually do not ride it at all during this time).
Flight of Icarus is truly an amazing trail and a great place to escape from the summer heat, there is a lot of exposure and falling is not a good option, so be sure to be on your game. I would not recommend this trail to anyone that is not an advanced rider. The two descents know as "the wings" will get your heart racing and turn your knuckles white. Those are not the only scary features, just the first of many. As you traverse down there are too many areas to count where the exposure seems to ridiculous to be real. Don't let this discourage you from riding the trail, just be prepared.
If you are an animal you can do this ride as an up and back, however we encourage you to do it is a shuttle.
