Description for Ute Valley
Ute Valley is a great place for a quick lunchtime or after work ride if you live/work in the area. If you hurry you can ride nearly everything in under an hour. If you ride the area a lot, try changing direction, it adds a whole new element to the ride and makes it seem almost like a completely different trail.
Overall there is nothing crazy technical, less experienced riders may have to dismount a couple times. The trails are pretty mellow and great for beginners who are ready to start pushing themselves.

I have been riding Ute Valley for 20 years now and the more I ride it the more I like it. Ute has a little bit of everything to keep riders of all levels happy. I usually start at the parking lot and climb east towards and immediately behind the middle school. At the bottom of the first short descent off of the ridge line, you can take a hard right for a technical section or stay to the left for a nice flowing ride. Either way, you will end up in the middle double track road and can make multiple loops to make the ride more downhill or uphill. If you decide to stay counterclockwise on the outer loop, be prepared for a short but steep climb! Tends to get crowded with hikers and bikers on the weekends and lunch. Riding from 9-11 or 1-3 are your best bets. Overall, a great park to test your skills and the fact that I am a 1/2 mile from the park makes it my go to ride.\!
