Description for Dan Cook Trail
The Dan Cook Trail (AKA BBQ Terrace) is a wide fireroad with a few creek crossings, this trail turns into an uphill climb at MT Diablo. The views are worth it so don't give up!
Turn onto mt. Diablo scenic and you will see a school on the right. Park there and start riding up the road. The trail shows up in about a mile. First is the singletrack. This splits into two trials upper and lower but don't worry they both end up in the same place. If you are going up you are going the right way. After about a mile you will hit the fire road. This goes strait up for a mile or two. You will dump out at a camp site and road. Head up the road a quarter mile and you are in the famous rock city and 25% of the way up the mountain.
