Description for Alchemist
At the base of Tamarancho Boy Scout's land and this is part of a loop called Tamarancho. From Iron Springs Road, Alchemist is a technical climb to the main 8-mile loop and intermediate riders will find challenging. There are several switchbacks and rooty sections that take balance and timing. The downhill is a blast. This not a free trail and it's on private land. It requires a pass that you can buy online or at local bike stores. Winter rains turn this into a muddy mess. You've been warned! This is an awesome trail and loop in Fairfax! Highly recommended.
