Description for Hole in the Ground
The Hole in the Ground trail should be on your must ride list, the riding is fantastic. The trail is a mix of singletrack with a bit of fireroad riding. The terrain is best suited for advanced riders, but intermediate level bikers that are willing to push themselves will likely be able to tackle most of the trail with only a few dismounts on the more challenging parts. The views on the ride are second to none, so be sure to stop and look around every once in a while and bring your camera! There is a fair amount of climbing which is made more difficult due to the high altitude (around 8000 ft). The terrain is typical for the area, lots of rocks, drops, roots, etc, however some of the rocky sections are super technical so keep your wits about you as you make you way along the ride. The flow of the trail is great.
