Description for Rocky Peak Fireroad
Rocky Peak Fireroad is one of the local favorite training rides in the area, it starts our with a very steep climb then transitions to a more mellow three mile climb. A great option is to combine the ride with the Chumash Trail, which is one of the best single tracks in the area, it offers every thing from technical rock gardens to high bermed turns. This ride is best in cool weather, we always do this in the spring when the grass is high makes for some fun riding on Chumash. Some people ride back to there car by way of Krunner and the Santa Suzanna Rd but that is a tough grind for a finish, we always drop a car on Yosemite. If you are in the area this is a must do ride.
The turn off to Chumash is easy to miss so a GPS is helpful other than that you cant get lost.

This is one of my favorite rides in the area, it starts our with a very steep clime then mellows out a bit with another big clime about 3 mi. in. The rout shown here is Rocky Peak to the Chumash trail. The Chumash trail is one of the best single tracks in the area, it offers every thing from technical rock gardens to high banked turns.
P.S the turn off to Chumash is easy to miss so a GPS is helpful other than that you cant get lost.
