Description for Hood Mountain
The Hood Mountain trail is a fairly tough fireroad ride. The surface is loose and their is a lot of climbing, but the views of Napa Valley are out of this world (so be sure to bring your camera). There is not question that this makes a great strength training ride, if you could ride here everyday you would have legs and lungs of steel. You will be amazed how quickly the descent ends after such an extended climb.

Difficult fire road climbs. Very rugged, not highly traveled today (3/18/2012). Did a big stream crossing and then rode Quercus and Headwaters trails. It would be awesome if there were a good way to connect to Sugarloaf, and then across to Annadel. Haven't found it yet.
