Description for Tapia Canyon
Tapia Canyon loop offers a variety of terrain for beginner to intermediate riders. If you are looking for challenging climbs or steep, technical downhills, Tapias not your place. Tapia and the adjacent canyons offer a variety of fire road and single track climbs with a nice array of downhill routes varying from tight single track to fast, rutted fire roads.
The most popular Tapia route is to ride up Tapia Canyon Road past the closed gate and take a right on the single track just past the oak tree and gate and climb up to the twin power towers. Then turn around and ride the same way back down. Once familiar with the area, there are five or more other routes and all are enjoyable. A great place for a family ride or a fast, flowing single track through creek beds and tight shrubs.
Great ride. Steady gradual climb that stops with two options of single track back to big oak at the gate. Take the street on left for more fun. Lots of new trails being made in the area.

Trail is in great shape. Check out the Junkyard Loop, Bee Bypass and the unique and interesting G-Out Canyon and Dog Tag Canyon.
Park at the Sports Complex just off the 5 on the way in. See you there.
