Description for Mount Woodson
Difficult climb from the highway 67, almost 2 miles of solid climbing, taking anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes. Reach the communication towers at the top, pass over the peak to the trail on the other side, fun begins here, well earned fun. The downhill takes almost as long as the uphill, not too many trails give that sweet of a deal. Ride down the single track to the second right hand turn sign is for the Frye-Krugel trail, take the new one not the old one. If you made is down the rock garden steps at the fork, go right, left will take you down to Lake Poway about 1000 feet down hill. Follow FK to the end, the entire trail is single track, 20 minutes of pure fun.

Start off at the highway 67 CDF station, follow the hiking trail sign, take the trail the the paved road to the top of Mt Woodson.
