Description for Fleming Meadows
Fleming Meadows is a good singletrack ride, it is not overly challenging and well suited for intermediate level riders. There is a fair amount of climbing, all of which earns you some fun and fast descents. The trail is well maintained and marked so there is no real chance of getting lost. The area is pretty and the trail has a nice flowy, rolling feel that makes you want to come back to see if you can do it faster. The riding style is definitely more XC then anything else.

Probably my favorite trail within an hour of Sac. Pretty decent sustained climb leads to seemingly endless swooping single track XC style DH. Some fire road but not much. Just watch out for the loggers putting trees on the ground and horses coming at you and let it rip. After the initial climb the trail rolls up and down and around to the start. Good link up with the Sly Park Lake loop to make it the 8 Trail (signs for Flemming Meadows are marked with an 8). Good in the winter when the valley is socked in with fog for a month at a time to get your vitamin D level back up. Also check out Rufus Rage across the road for some illegal DH!
