Description for Sheephead Mountain
Sheephead Mountain is a mix of singletrack and fireroad riding, the trail is rated as advanced for two reasons, the climbing is relentless and requires stamina (which is not really the way trails are rated) and secondly because of the non stop rocky terrain (which is relevant to the way trails are rated). Given those two facts it is a wonder that anyone sets out to ride this trail, but they do and for good reason, in all it is a fun and challenging adventure ride. Not really something you want to do if you are just looking for a fun day on the bike, but if you want to take some time to just explore a new area and wear yourself to complete exhaustion this is a good place to go.
