Description for Redwood Regional Park
The Redwood Regional Park is an all level fireroad ride that is good for people that are interested in building stamina and doing training rides. Overall there is not much in terms of technical challenges and it is pretty standard fireroad riding. Thankfully your climbing earns you some fun downhill that you can blast without too much worry of wiping out or disastrous consequences.

Moderately new to MTB, but enjoyed this ride immensely on my avalanche hardtail.
I didn't do the section in Joaquin Miller park, instead keeping to Redwood park due to time constraints. Navigation's dead easy, follow East ridge trail, West ridge trail, and Canyon trail links them in river valley. I'd recommend a counter-clockwise route as shown in map as that makes the ascents more gradual.
Views of the redwood valley are excellent if not out and out spectacular, but certainly rewarding. Some pedestrians + dogs, but generally wide trails, so no problem.
There's nothing particularly technical here - a half decent shock and some cajones will get you down the two descents, while the ascent on Canyon trail is quite brutally steep.
