Description for Shirley Meadows
Shirley Meadows is probably the best riding in the area, it is advanced singletrack and fireroad riding. Unfortunately the trail is unrideable during the winter months because it is often covered with snow or too muddy to ride. You can setup a shuttle or just do it as an out and back. If you choose to do the climb, be prepared for a long strenuous uphill battle.
Thankfully the majority of the ride is on singletrack but there is a fair amount of fireroads to contend with, even when on the singletrack the trail crosses the road several times which makes it easy to get a little turned around just ride back the way you came and watch the other side for it to drop back to singletrack. There are several sections that you can take a breakneck speeds that have well made berms. The trail is well maintained.
This is a great trail and should be on your must ride list!
