Description for Mt Pinos
Mt Pinos is typically done as a downhill only ride, but if you chose not to shuttle the ride, you will have a 9 mile grind on the road which is why the majority of the people opt to setup shuttle. This is definitely one of the best rides in the area and should be on your must ride list if you have not checked it out. The trail takes you through a nice pine forest, which is a great change from hectic pace and dirty city air.
The ride itself it not overly technical but has a great flow and can be ridden at breakneck speeds, but keep a watch for hikers and horses.
Since there is camping nearby it makes a great weekend retreat.
