Description for Elfin Forest
There are many different routes, with many long hills, but the scenery is beautiful. The ride also takes you along Lake Hodges. This is an easier ride with a road bike, not a mountain bike. Worth every aching mile!

"The ride also takes you along Lake Hodges."
Nope. You overlook hodges at one point (from 850 feet above) but this trail takes you nowhere close to Hodges.
"This is an easier ride with a road bike, not a mountain bike.
WTF? Rocky, bumpy, full suspension prefered. Not a road bike on earth would survive this trail. A lot of nice big rock to climb over but seldom a 20ft stretch suited to a road bike.
All said this is a great place to train. You can practice technical climbing, rock crawling or simply bust a lung. There are also a few trails not shown worth exploring.

OK, I downloaded this ride myself so I won't bother you with editorial. This is similar to the original ride except less fire road and more single track. Some of the single track didn't exist back when the first ride was recorded.
