Description for Montara Mountain
Montara Mountain is an intermediate ride made up of singletrack and fireguards. It has amazing ocean views. This is an old paved/ gravel road that use to be open long ago. Its about a 2000' climb to the top of Montara Mt. where there are some antennas. You're surrounded by scrub brush and Pacific Ocean views. It will be windy, COLD and foggy in summer months, best to ride it Sept. Oct. Nothing around here and not many people so bring everything you need to get in and out. There are some steep rocky sections that cause some riders to dismount but in all there is not overly technical on this ride.
