Description for Jackfork
Jackfork is the newest singletrack in the Little Rock area, the trail is located in Pinnacle Mountain State Park and offers 7 miles of new trail. It is located close to the visitor center at Pinnacle State Park across from the end of the Ouachita Trail. the Jackfork starts off with a mile or two of twisty track that is mostly easy, moderate ups and downs and not too tight. After that the trail becomes much more technical and with some strenuous climbs, tight switchback, tights turns, and loose soil. The middle 4-5 miles of trail are aerobically challenging, technical and have several fairly steep sections - this is not a trail for a beginner. The trails are not fast and flowy but instead will test ones technical ability and fitness. Overall the is a great addition to central Arkansas and will be most appreciated by strong fit riders.

the jackfork is a new trail as of september 2010. it is located close to the visitor center at Pinnacle State Park across from the end of the Ouachita Trail. the jackfort starts off with a mile or two of twisty track that is mostly easy, moderate ups and downs and not too tight. after that the trail becomes much more technical and with some strenous climbs, tight switchback, tights turns, and loose soil. its a new trail so i expect that it will firm up a bit but at present its pretty loose - i went down three times due to washing out. the middle 4-5 miles of trail are aerobically challenging, technical and have several fairly steep sections - this is not a trail for a beginner. the trails is not fast and flowy but instead will test ones technical ability and fitness. its a nice addition to central arkansas and will be most appreciated by strong fit riders.
