Description for Slaughter Pen
The Slaughter Pen trails are considered by many to be the best trails in Arkansas. There are over 10 different trails with varying levels of difficulty. Every trail has technical challenges that will get your heart racing including drops and jumps (but if you aren't into drops and jumps there are bail outs built around them).
There are also tons of Northshore type wood features including log rides from simple 10 feet long 6 inches tall to 35 feet long with heights of 1,2,3,4, and 5 feet tall. There is also an amazing freeride course in the heart of the trail system that has a drop section that includes 4, 8, or 15 foot tall drops with buttery smooth landing areas. The trail continues to be built up and evolve. In all the trail is about 25 miles, but there is so much to do you can be there all day and not ride everything. If you are an advanced rider and into this type of mountain biking this trail should be on your must ride list!

I've been on pretty much every trail around this area and never get bored of any of them. I think Medusa is my favorite. If you want an easy stroll, it's there. If you want an aggressive workout, it's there. If you want to work on your agility, it's there. There is definitely something for every skill level.

I love this trail! It's about a mile from my house so I'm out there 3-4 times a week. Fun to start at Bentonville town square and ride out from there. It's also a great trail for a night ride!
