Description for Girdner
We didn't really spend anytime on this trail, it seemed to have two names, Dry Creek and Girdner, we used the trail as a connector to get to Cockscomb, but the trail would be a good ride for an intermediate rider. It is probably worth doing some more exploration but there are so many great trails in the area that we just did one quick ride through. There are a couple switchbacks, small drops and a few places to do some skills practice work but nothing overly difficult or scary (that we saw). You cross the river several times, if you are lucky and hit it during a dry season it might just be a trickle, during the rainy season it may be un-rideable.
We paid the parking fee which could have been avoided by just riding to the trailhead.

I would say you should have some experience under your belt for this one. Starting out it looks like Childs play but then it goes downhill with many rocks jutting up from the ground for you to maneuver around. A few hair pin turns or switch backs as some say, you will end up crossing the river several times unless you are lucky and hit it during a dry season then it might be a trickle. Keep in mind our rainy season or monsoon season here is usually the months of July-August. This trail will eventually connect with other trails so ya want to take a map with you, I would strongly suggest going to Bike & Bean in The Village of Oak Creek and getting a map of the area trails.
